At Moncrief Construction, we are a family-owned business led by a husband-and-wife team, with a shared passion for building high-end custom homes that reflect the spirit and beauty of the mountain landscape. Max Moncrief

Position: General Contractor & Owner

Max Moncrief is the founder and General Contractor of Moncrief Construction, bringing over 12 years of expertise in construction management. A lifelong passion for the trades has shaped his deep understanding of the industry, making him an authority in both the planning and execution of construction projects. Max is known for his hands-on approach throughout the duration of the project and unwavering commitment to quality; ensuring every project is completed with precision and craftsmanship.

Max is personally involved in every stage of a project—from conceptual design to final inspection. His ability to navigate complex schedules and budgets, while maintaining strong relationships with clients and subcontractors, is key to the company’s success. 

Outside of work, Max is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying activities like snowmobiling, archery, hunting, and UTV driving. His passion for adventure mirrors his work ethic—always pushing boundaries and striving for the best in everything he does.

Taylor Moncrief

Position: Director of Operations

Taylor Moncrief serves as Director of Operations at Moncrief Construction, where her keen organizational skills and sharp eye for detail ensure that each project progresses smoothly from start to finish. With a hands-on approach, Taylor is actively engaged in every phase, ensuring that each task is executed with precision. 

A natural communicator, Taylor places high importance on transparency and clarity with clients, making sure they are always in the loop and confident in the project’s progress. Her leadership and commitment to excellence make her an invaluable asset on any job site.

In her free time, Taylor enjoys archery, gardening, and indulging her creative side. She loves spending time in the mountains with her family, where she finds inspiration and peace. Whether it’s tackling a construction project or unwinding in nature, Taylor approaches everything she does with purpose and a sharp attention to detail.

Taylor Moncrief

Position: Director of Operations

KATHRYN QUIST

Kathryn Quist is a detail-oriented and efficient Office Assistant who ensures the smooth flow of operations within our construction team. With extensive managerial experience in professional services and a solid education in business and finance, she brings strong organizational and communication skills to her role. Kathryn helps streamline administrative tasks, allowing the team to stay focused on delivering top-quality projects. Her positive attitude, ability to multitask, and dedication make her an essential part of our office.

Outside of work, Kathryn enjoys playing the piano, flute, and singing. She is also a proud aunt, cherishing the time spent with her nieces and nephews, and loves caring for her two dogs, who are always by her side. Her deep connection to family and her passion for music add to the warmth and positivity she brings to the office every day.

Jack Patterson is a highly experienced Superintendent with a strong background in construction and leadership. He holds a B.A. in Business from San Diego Christian College and is currently pursuing an M.A. in Leadership from the same institution. Jack has previous experience as a superintendent in both Utah and Florida, where he demonstrated extraordinary attention to detail, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to drive schedules with precision. His expertise ensures projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.

Before transitioning into construction, Jack served for 8 years in the US Navy, specializing in Naval Special Operations. This experience has instilled in him a commitment to discipline, team coordination, and problem-solving in high-pressure environments.
Outside of work, Jack enjoys skiing, camping, and traveling. He is also a volunteer with America’s Bravest, offering support to military veterans. Jack is inspired by the quote from Marcus Aurelius: “When you arise in the morning, think of what a privilege it is to be alive, to think, to enjoy, and to love.”
